STAND STRONG IN THE COVENANT
Then the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day.
Joshua 5:9 NKJV
In the Bible, God struck the Israelites with plaque, but Moses said to Aaron, “Take a censer and put fire in it from the altar, put incense on it, and take it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from the Lord. The plague has begun.” Then Aaron took it as Moses commanded, So he put in the incense and made atonement for the people. And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped.(Numbers 16:46-48)
Ponder this, if a priest appointed by God can perform atonement with just an incense that took away the wrath of God, hence saved lives, " he stood between the dead and the living" ,how about the atonement made by God Himself with the blood of His only Son, the Son that He loves?
Beloved, the work on the cross is a finished work and cannot be undone or to be continued. "Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.(I Peter 2:24 NKJV) We are living in righteousness and not in sin and distress.
We are no longer under God's wrath but lifetime favor. Those distresses we see, are transient and sense based, hence cannot consume us. That is why we should walk by faith and not by our senses. "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith" .(I John 5:4 NKJV)
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAND STRONG IN THE NEW COVENANT OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
