STAND STRONG IN THE LORD

…Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.”

The Bible tells us that Herod never intended killing John the Baptist because he is a righteous and holy man. In another place, when the daughter wanted the head of John the Baptist on a platter, He was greatly distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he never refused her. (See Mark 6 )

Psalms 77:13 says "Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God?

Think calmly about this: if an evil king like Herod can respect holiness and righteousness, how about Our Righteous and holy Father ? No wonder Psalms 16:10 says ".. Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption."

If Herod, an evil king can keep his oath and his dinner guests, how about God's solemn oath, He swore with the blood of His only Son, the Son He loved. Which He told Abraham and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, …. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”(Genesis 22:16‭, ‬18 )
