Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me— now let me rejoice.
Psalms 51:8 NLT
I remember as children, whenever nightmares came, we would run into our parents’ room—not because they could fight the darkness, but because their presence brought a deep, calming peace in the midst of fear.
In the same way, humanity was broken when sin caused a separation from God. But now, through faith, we have been restored. Romans 5:1 GNT says, “Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Peace in Greek is eirēnē—a deep inner calm, rest, and tranquility. It speaks of wholeness and completeness that flows from being in harmony and unity with God.
This is the peace that Jesus Christ came to give—restoring us into oneness with the Father. In John 14:27 (GNT) the Lord said, “Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.”
This peace is not just absence of conflict. Rather there is joy that comes with the presence of God restoring everything within you, regardless of circumstances. So. Let us rejoice in all circumstances for we have been restored, made whole and joined in oneness with God. This is why the Lord said in John 16:33 NIV, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Remember, peace does not deny troubles, rather we stay joyful for the Lord has deprived them of the power to hurt us. Psalm 34 says that God is always with the righteous to deliver them from all troubles and make sure they are not broken. Now let us rejoice!
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF HIS PRESENCE, AND ENJOY HIS PEACE IN
JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
