THE POWER OF AGREEMENT

OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

John 2:5 NKJV

When Jesus commands us to do anything, it means we can do it, for if it is impossible, He would not command us to do it. Besides we are not doing it by our own power, rather by his divine power.

Remember, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

(Matthew 19:26 NIV)

For instance, the Lord said "These things I command you, that you love one another.(John 15:17 NKJV) This command gives us the power to love one another as He said, so both the will to love and to love comes from Him and not from us.The same goes with the beatitudes. how?

His commands give God kind of life, for they are spirit and life. Our only work is to agree to whatever He says to us. Remember “ If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. (Matthew 18:19 NLT) He didn't say we will do, rather, the Father who lives in us does His own work.

The two in this case, are you and the Spirit of our Father in us. The Lord also said about this: "It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.” (John 8:17‭-‬18 NKJV)

So let us not stop doing what He tells us to do, for it is Him in us giving us the power both to will and to do His commands. Let us not trust our understanding on this, rather trust him.
