THE TRUE LIGHT

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

John 1:9 NKJV

Though we live in this world, our light is not of this world. Psalm 36: 9 NIV says "For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light." However, many children of God are still seeing things the same way the world sees it. They walk in the light of this world instead of walking in the true Light, so they walk in darkness.

The Lord said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

(John 8:12 NIV) Darkness represents sin and it's distress, such as pain , sickness, humiliation, shame, marital and financial crisis, untimely death, etc

Just as if you are in a foreign country during a crisis, you get help from your country of citizenship, because the foreign country takes care of their own citizens first. The same way, we find help in Christ. For though we live in this world, before the world even began, we were chosen, set apart to live, see and walk in Christ. (Ephesians 1:4) Psalms 18:28 NIV says ." You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.

How do we get help from him? By following Him through His words, our true Light. Psalms 119:105 NIV says "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path". In Psalm 119:130 it says " The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple." So let us follow the true Light and not the light the world lives.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO WALK IN THE LIGHT AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
