THE WORD OF GOD IS OUR REAL MIRROR

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

James 1:23‭-‬24 NKJV

Did you look at your mirror before leaving the house this morning? I know we all do. But I am talking about our real mirror, the word of God, that is acknowledging your true self, who you are with the word of God. For instance, you can confess every morning before leaving the house that you are the body of Christ.

Just by doing so, you are making Christ your owner, you belong to Him and not to yourself. We are the bones of His bones and flesh of His flesh. The Bible says "After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church" (Ephesians 5:29 NIV)

Just as we don't cut off any part of our body that is in pain, instead we treat it, or as we comb our hairs or rub cream when needed, so as to look good, the same way Christ cares for His body in times of need. Psalms 73:26 NIV says "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Glory!

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE CONSCIOUS OF OUR REAL LIFE AND CONFESS ACCORDINGLY DAILY TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
