THE WORD WORKS

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.”

II Corinthians 10:3–4 NKJV

Beloved, God has given us a powerful weapon for warfare—His Word! Just as the world goes to war with missiles and other ammunition, our own weapon of warfare is the Word of God.

Let us never assess the effectiveness of the Word of God by our senses or circumstances. The Word of God works regardless of what we see, feel, or experience around us. We cannot judge the Creator by His creation, neither can we measure His Word by our circumstances.

The Word of God is Spirit and life; therefore, it cannot be defined, limited, or controlled by our natural senses.

If the Word of God does not work, then our senses cannot work either! Hebrews 1:3 tells us that God upholds the universe by the Word of His power. Therefore, if God's Word were dysfunctional, the entire universe—including us and everything we perceive—would be dysfunctional!

But thank God, His Word never fails!

God's Word causes us to triumph in every circumstance. It is our spiritual sword—yes, our spiritual bazooka! Everything is subject to the Word of God, but the Word of God is subject to nothing.

So, beloved, do not allow what you see to overthrow what God has said. Do not allow your circumstances to have the final word when God has already spoken!

Stand firm in His Word. Believe His Word. Speak His Word.
