THINK HIGH AND DEEP

“Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.”

Isaiah 7:11 NIV

OUR heavenly Father wants His children to always think high and deep and not limit ourselves to our human strength, imaginations and understanding. Ephesians 3:20 says "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us".

OUR unbelief limits the amount of God's power at work in us, for we trust our human imagination and not in God that can do more than we can imagine. We allow our circumstances to define us, forgetting that we are defined by God that can do more than we can imagine.

Ponder this sign "This will be a sign to you: "You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”(Luke 2:12)

This really beats our imagination, for how can a baby that could not wrap himself, hence wrapped by human parents, be the Savior of the world. This is how our salvation works today. The days might not look right, it might appear God is not answering our prayers , but always trust in God that can do more than we can imagine.

If we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we have to firstly identify with the sign at the Manger. Mary called Him Savior and Elizabeth called Him Lord, even when He was in the womb. In moments like this, especially when we seek answers to our prayers, are we ready to accept Him as our Lord and Savior or trust our imaginations as the apostles did when He was sleeping as a baby amidst a big storm?
