TRUST IN HIS HOLY NAME II

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Luke 2:11‭-‬12 NIV

In John 14:27 the Lord said "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Then why is our heart troubled by the troubles of today's world? It is because we seek the peace that this world gives, we want to be adults instead of lying like the baby in the manger, with absolute trust in God. We have to know that we are raised to a new life with Jesus, so we live and function in the same peace as Jesus, why? Because we are united with him.

Notice that all those times Jesus was on earth emptying himself and becoming a baby, growing up until death, his power of excellence and glory is of the Father, also the Father was dependent on him for his glory . The same way, our power of excellence is of the Father, and the Father is dependent on us for his glory, all these are championed by the Holy Spirit.

Psalms 52:8 MEV says "I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever." The key to living as children of God is to trust in God even if the road is rough, knowing that his judgment is right. Psalm 33:21 NLT says "In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name."
