Our soul is not at peace, until it abides in the Lord. Psalm 42:2 says "My soul thirsts for God, for the living God." In Christ, our souls are restored to it's original state, God's own peace and tranquility, in Hebrew "Shalom Shalom". We just have to simply abide.
