I John 3:8 says "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." Did He destroy it ? Yes, how? By his death. That is why Psalm 124:7 tells us that "Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The SNARE IS BROKEN, and we have escaped".
