and gave thanks. Then he distributed it to the disciples and said, “Take it and eat your fill. It is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me.”
1 Corinthians 11:24 TPT
How many of us remember Jesus when receiving Holy Communion? If you do remember Him, what do you remember Him as? The angel told the shepherds, "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11 NKJV) Remember in Isaiah 7:14, He is "Immanuel.". " God is with us ". So, our Savior is with us. "
Think of what it means that God wants us and everyone to know through His remarkable deeds that our Savior is with us, "Thus they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them…." (Ezekiel 34:30 NKJV) That is why we should be patient in tribulations that seem not to go away; for God is making a difference in our lives, He wants us and everyone to know that He is the only one that saves!
If Abraham had Isaac at 75 years old when God first called him, he might think it is by his own power. The Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’(Judges 7:2 NKJV)
Is it not remarkable that all the food we eat does not give us life, only a piece of bread does, " the bread of life". So, whenever you receive communion, remember the Lord, proclaim Him as your only Savior over any circumstance in your life.
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO REMEMBER THE LORD AS OUR ONLY SAVIOR WHO IS WITH US IN ALL THINGS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
