Some take pride in chariots, and others in horses, but we take pride in the name of Yahweh our God -Psalms 20:7 HCSB
OUR Lord Jesus during His ministry made time out of very busy schedules to go to a quiet place alone several times to connect to His heavenly Father. One of the occasions He brought with him Peter, James and John, probably to show them higher needs, the transfiguration, better
than the things of this world.
Most of the time, we tend to strive for things of the world as higher priority, forgetting that we have a higher glory. We
are kings of the Most High God, we have a throne where we come from, hence are not defined by the things of this world. This is why many are depressed and can't even give God the worship He deserves. Psalms 84:10 NIV says " Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Imagine a king abandoning his throne for a life in the street. Competing with ordinary people for jobs and food. Let us live for higher needs, let's be conscious of who we are, take pride in who we are and where we come from."Some take pride in chariots, and others in horses, but we take pride in the name of Yahweh our God. "
That doorkeeper job in the house of God, lasts forever but the tents of the wicked don't. 1 John 2:17 NIV says, "The world REJOICE IN HIGHER NEEDSand its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever."
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE FOR HIGHER NEEDS THAN THE THINGS OF THE WORLD IN JESUS NAME AMEN !
THANK YOU JESUS !
