WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE III

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life - Romans 6:4 NKJV

We are raised to a new life with Jesus. Colossians 3:2 says we should set our minds and hearts to the things of heaven not of this world. We get stressed and perplexed because we continue to live our old life even though we have the life of Jesus. I likened this to what the Lord called putting a new wine into an old wineskin. "For the old skins would burst from the pressure" (Matt 9:17)

The Bible tells us that the apostles did not understand when Jesus spoke to them regarding his death because it was hidden from them.(Luke 9:44‭-‬45 NKJV) Why? Because they were still carnally minded.

The Bible says "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

(I Corinthians 2:14 NKJV)

Beloved, we cannot navigate this world, the way it is with carnal minds. To walk in the newness of life, we need to renew our minds with the word of God. Colossians 3:10 " put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,"
