WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE VI

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life - Romans 6:4 NKJV

Two easiest ways to walk in this new life is (1) to live as the dead. That is our agreement in baptism. "we were buried with Him through baptism into death" (2)We live for only him now. The Bible says "And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. (2 Corinthians' 5:15)

All the beautiful teachings of Jesus, especially the beatitudes, are possible if we stay dead to the world. Take for instance "If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them".

(Luke 6:29) The dead do not fight back, and if we stay dead, we yield to the Spirit of Jesus in us to do His job.

When we refuse to yield and slaps back, that shows we are still alive to sin , hence not walking in the newness of life. This same principle occurs in challenges, if we stay dead to the flesh, challenges will come and go, but when we refuse to yield to the Spirit to fight for us, we suffer the consequences.

Always give the Spirit of God the right of way in your life. We have to decrease so the life of God in us will increase. Remember, " none of us lives for himself, and no one dies for himself." (Romans 14:7 MEV)
