WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE VII

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life - Romans 6:4 NKJV

Romans 6:11 says "Likewise, you also consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Know that the dead don't suffer sickness, wretchedness, distress etc. Why? Because they are dead. Col 2:20 says "You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world."

Fish are safe from the beast of the field, only if they stay in the water. Christ has taken us out of this dark world, "we were buried with Him through baptism into death," So He has deprived the world the power to harm us, only if we stay dead to the world. Romans 8:13 says "For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if through the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."

Though we live in this world, we don't belong to this world, we are not debtors to it. 2 Corinthians 10:3 CEV says "We live in this world, but we don't act like its people" We are spirits, though we live in a body, we are not subject to it's dictates". So, let us renew our minds with the things of our new life "For to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
