WE ARE A PECULIAR PEOPLE VII

• A HOLY NATION

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:- 1 Peter 2:9 KJV

We are a holy nation, that is we are set apart for God, to display God's holiness. God displays his holiness through us.(Ezekiel 36:23) If God proves that He is holy through us, how do you think our life will be? Full distress, agony and failure? No

Obadiah 1:17 says "In Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and it shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions." Mount Zion is the city of the living God. Psalm 87:6 tells us we are born in Zion, our holy nation. And scepter of distress, agony, sickness and failure can not dwell in Zion.(Psalm 125:3)

Beloved, we are not ordinary, our nature is holiness, Holiness sets us apart from the rest of the world. Our life is not dependent on the circumstances of this world, why? Because we are holy, that is set apart from this world. "They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world".(John 17:16 ) You cannot live in Africa and suffer snow in America.

Therefore, let us live and walk in holiness. The easiest way to do this is to have at all times the conscious mindset that we are holy.

"for it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

(1 Peter 1:16)
