You are the salt of the earth.

Matthew 5:13 NIV

The Office of the salt is a position of honor and dignity bestowed upon us by Jesus, the Monarch of the universe. As descendants of Abraham we are not called to a passive life or to live as reserves but to live as the salt of the earth, to preserve the earth till the day of the Lord.

The enemy does not have his gang in reserves, there are no passive or part time demons, they are all actively working to put us in reserves or as passive salt. It is too dangerous for the salt of the earth to live as passive salt in these dark days, for our troubles come when we are passive. In 2 Samuel 11, when kings were supposed to go to war, King David chose to stay back. He ended up falling into the trap of the enemy, committed adultery and sinned against God.

That is why the Lord said in Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” If we don't live as the salt for which we were sent, we would be as branches detached from our Vine, hence are of no good but to be trampled underfoot by the enemy. But if we live as salt, nothing can outwit us. Psalms 89:21-22 NKJV says, “ With whom My hand shall be established; Also My arm shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, Nor the son of wickedness afflict him.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE ACTIVELY AS THE SALT OF THE EARTH IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
