WE ARE HIS IMAGE AND LIKENESS

"for in this world we are just like Him."

I am blessed to work in a diverse ethnic community. During a fire incident, we all gathered together in a safe place per safety guidelines. Though we were all gathered together, people grouped together based on their ethnicity. This didn't mean they were discriminating, rather they grouped according to their similarities, this time language.

This explained to me the significance of having the same image and likeness with God. We have an eternal fellowship and connection with God. He can communicate and fellowship with us more than He does with the angels and any other heavenly being or creatures on earth. Think of this, which parents will prefer talking to animals than their children?

That is why the Lord prayed "Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.(John 17:24 BSB)

Let us abide in Christ, and put all our trust in him, in him we are the true image and likeness of God, outside him, we are not, hence have no fellowship with him.

MAY THE PEACE OF THE LORD BE WITH US ALWAYS
