WE ARE KEPT IN HIS NAME

Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.

John 17:11 NKJV

If you purchase an item online to be picked up in the store , the store will keep it in your name until you pick it up. Our Lord Jesus purchased us with his blood and asked the Father to keep us safe through His name until He comes again. Do you think any force can snatch us away?

The Lord said “From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.”(Isaiah 43:13 NLT) This means that our souls, finances, health and wellbeing, marriage, length of days are preserved in His name till the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our theme verse points out two things: we are protected from apostasy and from the evil one. This blends in with our Lord’s prayer "And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one." So while He prunes us of evil, He also prunes us of any unnecessary things and requests that can lead us to temptation, especially when we ask amiss.
