WE ARE LIKE GOD

and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

If you were told that you have been made

a king, wouldn't you start to live like one ? Our verse is telling us to live in constant awareness that we are created to be like God. Think of what it means that God created us new like Him? In true holiness and righteousness. We are good because God is good, we have no darkness in our lives because God is light, in Him there is no darkness.

We did not create ourselves that way, God Himself created us that way, and He is the one living in us, reflecting His life in us. This means we live our lives from the inside out. Our earthly circumstances do not reflect our true nature. ‭‭John‬ 1:13‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says, we are "children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God."

That is why our Christian life is like the "bush engulfed in flames but never burnt" [Exodus 3] OUR natural circumstances might appear weak, but our glory is from Christ. Our outer man might be perishing but inside man is renewed day by day. ‭‭ ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says "darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you." That is why

2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬ says, "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS THAT WE ARE LIKE GOD IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
