WE ARE SENT

As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

John 17:18 NASB1995

The Greek translated as sent in our text is "apostello" meaning to set apart, send out properly on a mission, send away. Remember, we are already sitting together with Christ at God's right hand power, then He sent us into the world on a mission.

Just as in the golden rule, Jesus is taking care of us the same way the Father took care of him with fullness of Spirit when He sent him out."They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

That is why, we don't lose heart during trials, for we are in safe hands, God treats us the same way He treated Jesus. No wonder the Bible says “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10 NASB1995)
