But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him.- Psalms 4:3 NKJV

In the previous devotional, we learnt in John 15:16, how we were chosen, appointed, established to ask and receive from the Father. If you are sending soldiers to war, you have to train and equip them for victory. In our appointment, the person through all things were made, ordained us to ask and receive.

It is not about us anymore, it is about what we were made to be. In Ezekiel 36:27 NKJV,

The Lord said "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them." The Hebrew word translated as "cause" is "asah", meaning "to make". The same word "asah" was used when He created Man." Let us make man in our image and likeness."

Beloved, nothing prevents us from asking and receiving, for we have been elected, and made to do so. No wonder the angel told Daniel "from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words".(Daniel 10:12 NKJV)

In another place Isaiah 65:24 NIV says "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." We can make changes in our homes, society and place of work by simply asking and receiving. The problem is that we don't know how to wait. Just as we order things online and wait for it's shipping, also when we pray we wait joyfully for the Lord to deliver to us, for we did not appoint ourselves, Jesus did.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAY CONSECRATED TO THE LORD SO AS TO ASK AND RECEIVE TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
