WE ARE SPARED FROM OUR PAST, AND OUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT II

You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand

-Psalms 139:5 TPT

1 Peter 2:24 NIV says “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” So, we are dead to sin and distress hence spared from hardships, untimely death, wretchedness, marital crisis and all we suffered in the past because of our sins.

Most wonderful is that we are alive to His righteousness. That is why Psalms 85:13 NKJV says "Righteousness will go before Him, And shall make His footsteps our pathway." We are walking in His path of goodness and mercies, no distress.

So the Bible says " ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”(Revelation 21:4 NIV)

Walking in righteousness requires that we don't look back to the past, that is, we walk by faith despite what our senses perceive our circumstances to be. That is why St Paul said "Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, (Philippians 3:13 NLT)

BLESSED ARE YOU GOD OF ALL CREATIONS, FOR IN YOUR KINDNESS WE ARE SPARED FROM OUR PAST, AND OUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT, PRAISEWORTHY AND EXALTED IS YOUR NAME FOREVER!
