WE ARE THE JOY OF THE WHOLE EARTH III

A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High.

Psalms 46:4 NLT

Holy Spirit is the source of our joy. The Bible says that "For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.(Romans 14:17)

We are now living in Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the most high. We should not be seeking our joy from this world, instead it should be from the Holy Spirit, the source of our joy.

We are fed with the Holy Spirit daily, Psalm 36:8 says "You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights". We get distressed because we seek joy from what we eat or drink, or worries of these world forgetting that our only joy is from the Holy Spirit.

The world lack this joy and is full of cruelty and violence because they don't have the Holy Spirit. Why? Because the Lord said " The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him".(John 14:17) We as children of God, are called to bring joy to the world God created.

Beloved, what are we doing with this joy, remember, we are the salt that preserves the earth, this joy we received, we radiate to the world. That is why this joy of Holy Spirit flows like a river, for river flows, and Ezekiel 47:9 says "There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows."
