WE ASCENDED WITH HIM

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor..

We are no longer of this world, for when Christ died we died, when He resurrected, we resurrected with Him. ( Romans 6:4) When He ascended, we ascended with him, and we are now sitting with Him on a throne of honor. "in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

(Ephesians 2:7 NIV)

Beloved, what is it that we seek on this earth? Why do we bring ourselves down from the throne of honor by seeking and worrying about things of this world ? When disciples of John first followed Jesus, He asked them " “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi”,,,, “where are You staying?” (John 1:38 NKJV)

The Bible tells us that "Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God.

(Psalms 84:3 NIV) In another place it says"How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

(Psalms 36:7 NIV)

Today Christ is staying on the throne of honor and we have a joint sitting with Him. Hallelujah!

Those troubles and worries are from below, we are from above, they are of this world, we are not of this world. That is why the Bible tells us that

"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

(Colossians 3:1‭-‬2 NKJV)
