WE CANNOT SLIP, PERISH OR DECAY

He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn’t slip.

If you are rescued from drowning in a troubled river and placed in still water, will you still be afraid of drowning? In our verse, we are rescued from a deep mud, kingdom of darkness, the realm of sin and death, and placed on a solid rock, Christ, kingdom of Light, the realm of life. Why? To make sure we don't slip, perish, decay, do you think we will ever slip, perish, decay?

That is why the Bible says "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.(Romans 8:1‭-‬2 NIV) WE are no longer under the realm of sin that causes death but realm where the Spirit gives life,hence we cannot slip, perish or decay.

No wonder the Bible says "those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,"

(Psalms 92:13‭-‬14 NKJV) For in Christ the Spirit of life makes sure we don't slip.

Psalms 18:36 NKJV says "You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip."
