To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom. - Psalms 145:12 NKJV
We are called to make known to the world, God's mighty acts, power, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. That means God is displaying His omnipotence through us! Think calmly what that means.
1 Peter 2:9 tells us we are called to show to the world the goodness of God. For instance, God displaying his mercy through us, means He is telling the world through us that He can justify the ungodly.
No wonder Isaiah 1:18 NKJV says “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. The most wonderful thing is that this mercy endures forever.
Beloved, let us not deny ourselves this privilege of God's mercy, especially this lenten season. We are not proving to him that we can be godly by ourselves, rather He is showing to the world through us that He is the only justifier of the ungodly who has faith in Jesus.
Remember, we are called for His purpose for us, not for our own purposes for ourselves (Romans 8:28) So, by not coming to God with our sins, we are denying God the opportunity to display His mercy through us, thereby living for ourselves.
That is why Hebrews 4:16 NKJV says "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Notice it says BOLDLY. So We BOLDLY obtain mercy for our soul, finances, marriages, health and wellbeing, etc, so we can display God's omnipotence to the world.
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO DISPLAY HIS MERCY TO THE WORLD TO SEE AND GLORIFY GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
