WE LIVE AND DISPLAY HIS GOODNESS

.. you let us drink from the river of your goodness.

Psalm 36:8 GNT

We are born out of His own goodness, into His goodness, to display His goodness. 1 Peter 2:9 NLT Says, " for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light."

We cannot display what we don't have, for instance; sickness, hardships and failures are not His goodness, we don't have them, hence we don't display such. Rather, we have from His goodness. A life of prospering in all things and of good health as our soul prospers. That is why David said in Psalms 27:13 NLT, "Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living."

Remember, Psalm 119 :64 tells us that the earth is filled with the goodness of the Lord. So we are enjoying His goodness now, and not waiting for when Jesus comes again. No wonder David knowing this proclaimed with joy , "Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
