WE LIVE BY HIS MERCY

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.- John 9:1‭-‬3 NIV

Psalms 51:5 NKJV says "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me". We were all born sinners, not necessarily because of our sins or those of our parents, but because of those of Adam.

So God is demonstrating His mercy to the born ungodly who can't be godly by themselves.

That is why today, we are not worried about the bites of sin of Adam in our lives, be it in our finances, marriage, health and wellbeing, length of days, for we live by His grace not by our merit. Our duty is to abide in Christ, walk in him and live in His consciousness. Why?

We can't be godly by ourselves, rather God is the one showing to the world through us that He is the only justifier of the ungodly who has faith in Jesus. He is the only one that can keep us blameless till the coming of Christ.

The Bible says "He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:8‭ NIV)

We were all born blinds, we live by His mercy, we live by His purposes for us, not our purposes, He is displaying His mercies through us. That is why the Bible says "But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. (Psalms 52:8 NKJV)
