WE LIVE UNDER HIS AUTHORITY II

They did believe in him. He gave authority to those people to become God's children.

"Galatians 2:20 NIV says "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Through baptism, we are dead to the world, and we received the Spirit of Sonship, the very Spirit of the Son of God is our spirit of life. So, our authority in this world is ended , we live and function in the authority of the Son of God.

Beloved, we live only by him, in him and for him, never by ourselves anymore. The scripture says "And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.(2 Corinthians 5:15 NIV)

Any other authority that challenges us, is challenging his authority for He said "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”(John 10:28‭-‬30 NIV)

That is why we can, in the authority of His name, drive out demons; speak in new tongues; pick up snakes with our hands; and when we drink deadly poison, it will not hurt us at all; place hands on sick people, and they will get well. (Mark 16:17‭-‬18 NIV)
