He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
Matthew 19:8 NKJV
Do we really consider God first in our daily decision making process? That God allowed those in the old testament to live a certain way because the new life has not been introduced, does not mean that is what He really wanted. For instance, God, allowing Solomon to marry many wives does not mean that is what He really wanted. The same way, “‘Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. “
In John 4:23 NKJV, the Lord said, “The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” The new order is in place now, unlike the hardness of hearts of old, we received a new heart and clean spirit. “ .. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes,..” (Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV)
That is why the Bible tells us to put off our old ways of life for we have been raised to a new life with Christ and have put on our new nature, renewed in the knowledge of God.( Colossians 3) This is the life that Gives God the worship He seeks. Remember, “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.”(Acts 17:30 NIV”)
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ALIGN OUR GOALS WITH GOD'S PURPOSE FOR US IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
