Psalms 119:91 NLT
We are called to dominate the earth and subdue it—not by human strength, but by our spiritual weapon: the Word of God. James 4:7 gives us the order: “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” First, we submit to God; then we resist what opposes His will. This means we must align our hearts with God’s Word, and then bring our circumstances into alignment with that Word.
Why has this not worked for many? Often, it is because the Word has not been allowed to saturate their hearts. Jesus said in John 15:7, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
Look at Jesus at Lazarus’ tomb. Before He commanded Lazarus to come out, He lifted His eyes and said:“Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me.” (John 11:41–42 ESV) Jesus demonstrated the order: Submission to the Father, then declaration.
That is why He told Martha, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40 ESV) Believe first. Declare from that faith. Then watch the Word produce its result. The Word of God is not programmed to respond to every circumstance. Everything is programmed to respond to the Word.“for everything serves your plans.”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO SUBMIT EVERY OPPOSITION TO THE AUTHORITY OF GOD'S WORDS, BELIEVE WITH OUR HEART AND DECLARE WITH OUR MOUTH IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
