OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN
ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR SALVATION HISTORY
Jesus was in the back of the boat, sleeping with his head on a pillow. The disciples woke him up and said, “Teacher, don't you care that we are about to die?”
Mark 4:38 GNT
In our catholic church there is a part of Eucharistic prayer called Anamnesis. Anamnesis is a Greek word meaning to remember, to call to mind again. In the medical field, it means to recount patients' medical history. In our case, we are recounting our salvation history. The apostles in our text were worried that they could die from the storm even though Jesus was with them. Unlike Mary, the sister to Lazarus that was fully persuaded that if Jesus was with them, their brother Lazarus would not have died.
In life, we might face storms, that is the time to recount our salvation history.
Our history has it that we are born of an imperishable seed, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you...” (Isaiah 43:2 NIV) Another part of our history says that we are not of the natural descent but of supernatural. "Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”(John 1:13 NIV)
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO REMEMBER OUR SALVATION HISTORY IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
