For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
Hebrews 11:10 NIV
Hebrews 11:9 NIV says, “By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.” For He was looking for a city with foundations, one built by God , so He lived as a foreigner in tents in the land God promised him. He did not settle for less, for he never thought less of what God can do. He also welcomed it with joy even though He died without receiving it.
What are you settling for? A life without foundation or one with foundation? The Lord said that Abraham saw His days and was glad (John 8:56) Everything seen does not last; they are without real foundations, but we were born of invisible things, things that have real foundation, the Word of God. John 1:13 NIV calls us “children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”
Are you trusting on the things that are seen or things that are unseen? We are built on a solid foundation, the Word of God. We are the only creation on earth that does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Psalms 119:89 NIV says, “Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.” Let us learn to build our lives on the eternal word of God and not on what is seen. That is faith. Psalms 11:3 NIV says, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BUILD ON CITY WITH FOUNDATION IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
