ARE YOU LIVING LIKE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER?

God said, “Now we will make humans, and they will be like us. We will let them rule the fish, the birds, and all other living creatures.”

Genesis 1:26 CEV

Are you living like our heavenly Father, walking in dominion over all things like Him? Think about how God created the fish, birds and all other living creatures and they exist the same way He created them till today. The birds have not transformed into fish and vice versa. The same way, we should see ourselves like God, living in dominion above all He created, not by sight, but as He said.

Psalms 8:4-6 CEV says about it, “ Then I ask, “Why do you care about us humans? Why are you concerned for us weaklings?” You made us a little lower than you yourself, and you have crowned us with glory and honor. You let us rule everything your hands have made. And you put all of it under our power”

Remember, it was the fall of man that made us fall short of this dominion. However, Ephesians 2:10 tells us that God has made us new in Christ like Him, so that we can have dominion and rule over all creatures. Though it might not look like it in the natural, for even flies flex muscles at us. We live it by faith for “Every child of God can defeat the world, and our faith is what gives us this victory.” (1 John 5:4 CEV)

We live in dominion by faith by setting our minds on Christ. “ As He is so are we in this world” Hebrews 2:8-9 CEV says, “God has put everything under our power and has not left anything out of our power. But we still don't see it all under our control. What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels. Because of God's gift of undeserved grace, Jesus died for everyone. And now that Jesus has suffered and died, he is crowned with glory and honor!”
