ARE YOU READY TO EXPLORE THE RICHES AND GLORY OF CHRIST IN US?

For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.

Colossians 1:27 NLT

In numbers 21, the Israelites complained against God and Moses and God sent war serpents after them. They cried out to God, and God told Moses, “Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!” (Numbers 21:8 NLT)

Notice that God did not immediately take out the poisonous snakes, rather He want them to simply look at the replica and live.

The Lord said, “And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.”(John 3:14-15 NLT) So , just as the Israelites were told to simply look at the bronze snake and live, the same way we are to simply believe in Christ in us as our hope of glory, irrespective of our circumstances, and live.

God wants us to simply believe in Christ's finished work of the cross irrespective of our circumstances and live. Christ conquered death, by His death, sickness by His wounds, brokenness by His chastisements, poverty by His poverty. We are those that were made right with God by faith in Christ, so we live by living in agreement with His finished work of the cross. (Romans 1:17)
