Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27 NKJV

When the Lord gave us His peace, He offered us oneness with Him, a seamless union. Our peace should be from our union with Him and not in the absence of troubles. Think of what it means that we are in union with the one God appointed as the Heir of all things. Hebrews 1:2 NKJV says, “has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.”

Romans 8:17 says that we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. So, we are joint heirs with the one God appointed as the Heir of all things, how can we ever lack or fail in life? No wonder Psalms 46:10 NKJV says, “Be still, and know that I am God”. That is, because I am in union with God's appointed Heir of all things, I am calm irrespective of my troubles.

That we are not calm, is because we are defining our union with Christ by our earthly experiences. But we are dead to this earthly life, hence, we should live our lives from above where we have joint seating with the Heir of all things, at God’s right hand power. Colossians 3:1 NKJV says, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.”

Be calm and enjoy His peace

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE CALM IN TRIBULATIONS SO AS TO EXPERIENCE AND TESTIFY TO HIS WORKING POWER IN OUR LIVES IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
