BE CONSCIOUS OF WHERE YOUR HELP COMES FROM

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Ephesians 6:10 NLT

II Peter 1:3 tells us that all we need to live a life that pleases God has been provided for us through our union with Christ. We know that God delights in the prosperity of His children.( Psalms 35:27) This means it pleases Him that we prosper in all things and be of good health as our souls prosper. So, He recreated us in Christ, so that through Him, with Him and in Him, we can live a life of completeness, abundant life on earth. That is why St. Paul confidently said in Philippians 4:19 NKJV, “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

This is why we have to be conscious of where our help comes from especially whenever uncertainties creep in. Psalms 121 reminds us that our help is not from us ,but from the Lord who made heaven and earth. This means that our help in all aspects of our lives, is not limited to human strength, resources, or circumstances—it comes from God Himself, the Creator of heaven and earth.

The Psalmist also gave us our Helper’s unfailing track record: He neither sleeps nor slumbers. This assures us that our Source is limitless, unshakable, and ever-present—always watching, always sustaining. No wonder our theme verse declares, “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.”
