BE COOL, THE FATHER HAS GIVEN US WHAT WE NEED

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Matthew 6:8 NIV

Imagine what it means that we have a Father who already knows what we need at the right time at the right place. We are His nursing children! In my country of origin, there has been a decrease in cases of robberies , but an increase in kidnapping cases. This could be that robbers value people more than their possessions. For they knew that once they had the people they would get more out of them through huge ransom demands.

Compare this to the mystery of Christ in you, the hope of glory! God in His sheer generosity, did not just give us all things,

He gave us His only Son, so we can have all things through Him. John 3:35 NLT says, “The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands. Colossians 2:3 NLT says, “In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” No wonder 1 Corinthians 1:30 NIV says, “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”

1 Corinthians 6:17 NIV says, “But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” So, all that He is, we are. This is why we should not define ourselves by our earthly circumstances, but by Christ in us. God does not judge by external standards as men do, rather He sees us as Jesus is. That we are righteous, complete in all things is not by external standards but simply because we are united with Christ. Let us esteem our union with Christ above all things.
