OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

BE THE SALT TO A SALTLESS WORLD

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

‭Matthew 5:13 NIV‬

One thing about salts and lights is that they don't live for themselves, they live for others. Christianity is not about ourselves but for the world. Christ in us is not just for us but for the world God loves so much and sent His son to die for. So, if we Christians live only for ourselves how can the world see Christ ? “But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

That we are the only salt and light of the world means that our source of saltiness and light is not from this world but from above, through our union with Christ. Since Christ is no longer on earth, the world can only receive light through us . ‭In John 17:23 NLT‬ He said, “I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”

This means that to be a salt, we have to remain in Christ. “ Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.” (‭John 15:6 NLT‬) “But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE AS SALTS TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
