BEWARE OF CROWD EFFECTS

since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:16 ESV

Holiness is set apart. We are set apart from the world's way of life unto God, He wants us to remain the same way. We don't go with the crowd, the bandwagon. That is, we do not do what everyone else is doing or accept things as truth because everyone says so, rather we stand by His words. His words set us apart from the crowd. “ Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”(John 17:17 ESV)

In Matthew 8, When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus's daughter, upon all the crowd pressing against Him, it was the woman with the issue of blood that actually touched Him. Upon getting to Jairus's house, He had to dismiss the crowd for their unbelief. Luke 8:52-53 ESV says, “And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, “Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.”

We should not accept failures or sickness as normal because we see similar trends in others. For the fact that sickness is going around does not mean we will get it. Out of the 12 spies that went to Canaan, many believed the ten that spread the news of unbelief and were led astray. Therefore, do not go with the crowd, they are not always right. Romans 12:2 ESV says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAY AWAY FROM THE CROWD AND STAND BY THE TRUTH IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
