You know how when we visit our doctor's office and consent to their treatment. They conduct their test and come up with their diagnosis. The same way, when we come to Jesus in holy communion , we surrender to Him. “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10) He is our God,

He knows our areas of lack and He will complete it. Remember it is His joy to declare it is finished.

No wonder Psalms 103:2-6 BSB says,

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds— He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion, who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.”
