BUILD INNER STRENGTH II

It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn your statutes.
Psalms 119:71 MEV
Hebrews 12:11 MEV says, “Now no discipline seems to be joyful at the time, but grievous. Yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness in those who have been trained by it.”
Let us choose moments of troubles as opportunities to build inner strength by feeding on the word of God. “Matthew 4:4 MEV, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’
Breakfast is often considered as the most important meal of the day, for it provides the opportunity for the body to absorb essential nutrients after the overnight fast, and helps jumpstart the body’s metabolism. Feeding your body with junk food at such times, would not be a good idea as such might lead to weight gain and some health issues.
The same way, Christ's strength is at its peak during afflictions, for Christ’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses. ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) Also, Psalms 34:18 says that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. So, if we feed our spirits with His words, we illuminate our spirits with His strength needed to withstand the storms of life. But, if we feed on worries and fears, we end up living on anxieties, perplexity and discouragements.
Hebrews 12:12-13 MEV says, “Therefore lift up your tired hands, and strengthen your weak knees. Make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame go out of joint, but rather be healed.”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BUILD INNER STRENGTH THROUGH PERSEVERANCE IN TRIALS BY PONDERING THE WORD OF GOD,
IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
