All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.

Isaiah 53:6 NLT

Notice from our theme verse that even while we were His enemies and dead in sin, yet He classified us as sheep, and not as goats, monsters or wolves. Sheep are innocent, harmless, and need a shepherd, but goats, monsters, beasts and wolves could harm someone. Romans 5:8 NLT says, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

What manner of love is this that even when we all sinned, yet the Father did not see us as beasts, rather He saw us as lost sheep that needed a shepherd. He laid all our sins on His only Son just to secure for us a good shepherd. 1 Peter 2:25 NLT says, “ Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.”

Let us not define God's loving-kindness by our desert experiences. If God can see us as sheep in need of a shepherd even while we were His enemies, how about now we are reconciled to Him. Romans 8:32 NLT says, “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO CHERISH HIS LOVING-KINDNESS IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
