CHOOSE LIFE NOT DEATH

“Listen, my people, while I, the Lord, correct you! Israel, if you would only pay attention to me!

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭81:8‬ ‭CEV‬‬

Moses told the Israelites, “Today I am giving you a choice. You can choose life and success or death and disaster.”

(‭‭Deuteronomy 30:15 CEV‬‬) Life and success comes from the love of God and His commands, while death and disaster comes from the love of the world. So, to live is to love our creator more than the created, make our union with Christ a priority over all things.

The Bible says, ‭‭”Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” ( 1 John 2:15-17 NIV‬‬)

That is why the Lord said ‭‭in Luke 9:23 KJV‬‬, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Remember our old selves are crucified with Christ and no longer our priority. We live by denying it's dictates through word meditations. For when we meditate, we allow His words to take hold of our spirit and lead us, and not us leading His words. “His commands leads to eternal life” (‘John 12:50)
