CONNECTED TO THE VINE, FRUITFUL IN LIFE
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you cannot do nothing
John 15:5 ESV
Just as a branch receives life from the root to which it is connected, our spiritual life flows from our connection with Christ. We may have come from a broken past, made mistakes, or carried things that did not reflect God’s nature. But when we are joined to Christ, His life becomes our source. We are no longer defined by where we came from; we are defined by the One to whom we now belong.
We are new creatures, old things have passed away! (II Corinthians 5:17)
Psalm 103:5 reminds us that God fills our lives with His life and our youth are renewed like the eagle’s. That means that His very life is reflected in all aspects of our lives, be it financial, marital, health etc His image and likeness are being expressed through us. His love can be demonstrated through us. His wisdom can flow through us. His hands can serve through us. His words can bring life through us.
Ephesians 2:10 declares that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. God doesn't simply repair our old life—He gives us a new identity and a new purpose. Stay connected to the Root through His words. Draw your life from Christ, and let His life produce good fruit through you. 🌿
