“Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”

Matthew 26:41 NLT

Beloved, in the Lord’s Prayer, He taught us to pray, “And lead us not into temptation,” (Matthew 6:13 NIV). God desires to lead us away from temptations, but we must be willing to follow His leading.

Amos 3:3 NIV asks, “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” To walk with God, we must agree with His direction and align our lives with His Word, then we can be true disciples of Christ. Jesus said to the Jews who already believed in Him, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31–32,)

This is why 1 John 3:9 NKJV says, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” God's Word is His incorruptible seed, and as we allow that seed to remain in us, it shapes our desires, renews our minds, and empowers us to resist sin the same way we can resist sickness.

This does not mean that we never stumble; rather, it reveals that sin is contrary to the new life we have received from God. No wonder Romans 8:14 NIV declares, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”

WE ARE FREE INDEED! Discover the truth, follow the truth, and live in the freedom Christ has given you.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE BY THE TRUTH IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
