DO YOU DO WHAT HE SAYS ?

Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I say?

The Lord is the Word of God, If we accept Him as our Lord, we should also accept His words as our Lord by doing what our Lord says. Amos 3:3 BSB says, “Can two walk together without agreeing where to go? Know that both the will and to do what He says actually comes from His Spirit in us. Ezekiel 36:27 BSB says, “ And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances.”

His words are Spirit and life. We are born of His Spirit, the Word of God. We need to draw life from His Spirit, His Words by meditating on them day and night. Many are not enjoying our new life in Christ because they don't live by His Spirit, His words. But If we walk in the light of His words, do what He says, nothing can stand against us. For His light falls in the darkness of this world and darkness cannot absorb it. ( John 1:5)

That is why He said, “I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them: He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the torrent crashed against that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears My words and does not act on them is like a man who built his house on ground without a foundation. The torrent crashed against that house, and immediately it fell—and great was its destruction!” (Luke 6:47- 49 BSB)
