O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord.

Isaiah 2:5 ESV

When John the Baptist was in doubt about the Messiah, the Light he bore witness to. He sent his disciples to Jesus to inquire if He is the Messiah, the true Light He bore witness to.

In Matthew 11:4-5 ESV Jesus said to them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear,..” He quoted from Isaiah 35:4-6 , “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance,.... Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; [then shall the lame man leap like a deer…”

Think about this, what do you hear and see? For it is what you hear and see that determines your mindset and destiny.

If we are convinced that the Messiah has come, then we should no longer walk in defeat. Our mindset should then be that, the lame walks, the blind sees, regardless of what our feelings dictate. That is how to walk in the light as He is in the light, by guiding what we hear and see with the word of God.

The enemy dominates not because the Lord is not for us, but when we walk by the senses. Hosea 4:6 ESV says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,” How can they hear or see if no one encourages them to do so. That is why we preach the gospel, we invite all to walk as those whose light has come. By pondering His words daily and putting into practice what they pondered.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER TO WALK IN THE LIGHT IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
